I love that when Twitter went down, everyone freaked out. Don’t you guys have anything better to do than to tweet every two minutes?
This post will be starting a series of podcast picks I’ll do maybe every other week. My iPod is loaded with different podcasts, both entertaining and factual, but I’d put today’s pick in the entertainment category :P
Today’s pick is The 404 podcast from CNET. Hosted by Jeff Bakalar, Wilson Tang, and Justin Yu, this podcast talks about different news stories in a Diggnation-like format. I discovered this podcast when they infamously hijacked Buzz Out Loud’s feed, and even though I was still unimpressed by the podcast at first, I grew tired of BOL and was looking for another daily podcast, and I didn’t have to stray far from CNET. After the introduction of Justin Yu as host, I felt the 404 really got it’s feel and knew it’s place in the podcasting world.
What makes this show so great is that the hosts are just being themselves. They don’t try to be the know-it-all experts, the whole show almost feels like you’re hanging with three awesome dudes at a bar, telling poop jokes and shooting the shit. If you find Buzz Out Loud (or as 404 fans refer to it, Snore Out Loud) boring, this is the podcast for you.
